About TAG Heuer Watches
Since their inception in 1860, Heuer watchmakers have been pioneers of their trade. The company is responsible for inventing the oscillating pinion, which is still used in mechanical chronographs today, and the famous "Time of Trip," which was the first dashboard chronograph. In fact, over the course of the 1900s, Heuer chronographs became the preffered timepieces for automobiles and airplanes. Their legendary status was further cemented in 1971, when Steve McQueen debuted a now-classic square, blue Monaco watch with blazing red hands in the acclaimed film Le Mans. In 1985, a high-tech firm known as Techniques d'Avant Garde partnered with Heuer watches, incorporating TAG Heuer as it is called today. TAG Heuer has never stopped pushing limits; their recent Calibre 360 model wristwatch is the first and only timepiece with mechanical movement displaying time to 1/100th of a second.
