A Storied Heritage

Ruby's prestige predates the birthstone calendar by roughly two thousand years. Ancient Sanskrit texts reference Burmese rubies; Indian, Chinese, and Persian courts placed the stone at the top of their gemstone hierarchies throughout the medieval period. The July designation didn't create ruby's authority. It inherited it.

Made With Purpose

The security comes from the internal mechanics. Two spring-loaded tabs sit inside the clasp body, each controlling a locking bar or tongue that holds the closure shut. Both bars must retract at the same time before the clasp opens, which is what makes accidental release effectively impossible with one hand contact.
