A Storied Heritage
The old mine cut was the dominant diamond shape of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Cut by hand to maximize light reflects from rough crystals under candlelight, it was the format through which most of the world's most famous historical diamonds were originally fashioned. The cushion cut is the most historically rooted of all current diamond shapes, a contemporary cut carrying two centuries of diamond history in its design.
