Made With Purpose
On a single latch box clasp, one tab depresses and the clasp opens. On a double latch, two tabs must be pressed simultaneously before the mechanism releases. The resistance is immediately perceptible: the clasp holds under single-tab pressure and only opens when both are engaged at once. The secondary retention layer is a physical property of the construction, not a marketing description.
