A Notable Quality
Most surface finishes are additions: coatings, platings, treatments applied on top of the base metal. A diamond-cut finish works differently. The facets are machined directly into the metal surface, making them a permanent structural feature of the metal rather than something layered on. Under normal wear, there's nothing to fade, wear away, or retreat. The finish is the metal.
