Stone Story
The green gemstone category tends toward saturation, such as with emerald, peridot, and tsavorite. Prasiolite does the opposite. Its pale, cool, almost translucent green is so restrained that it occupies a position in the spectrum those stones don't reach. That restraint is the characteristic that makes prasiolite specific.
