A lobster clasp requires holding the chain end and guiding it into the clasp ring; a snap bar clasp accepts the bar passively on insertion, reducing the coordination required for independent fastening.
Origin Story
Mozambican rubies emerged from deposits in the Montepuez region, producing stones with fine color that achieved laboratory certification and auction recognition within years of commercial production beginning. Thai rubies tend toward darker, more brownish red. Sri Lankan stones are often lighter. Each source produces a characteristically different stone.
Heritage & History
Ross-Simons opened as a fine jewelry retailer in 1952. The category was defined. The focus held. Trends shifted around it, tastes changed, customer generations turned over. The brand didn't follow any of it. Customers kept coming back because what they were looking for was still there.
