Not naturally white, 18kt white gold achieves its color through alloying gold with palladium or nickel to neutralize its inherent yellow hue. Later, applying a rhodium plating produces a bright white surface.

Industry Insight

A double bail consists of two parallel loops or channels set close together at the top of a pendant. The chain passes through both, which distributes the pendant's weight and stabilizes its position against the chest. The two-point contact prevents the rotation that a single-loop bail allows.
