The deeper story

A Storied Heritage

Before large deposits were discovered in Brazil and Uruguay in the 19th century, amethyst was as rare as ruby and emerald: present only in royal and ecclesiastical jewelry, priced accordingly, with none of the broad availability that changed its market position entirely. The historical prestige is real; the supply changed, the history didn't.

Visually Speaking

London blue topaz sits at the darkest end of the blue topaz spectrum: deeper and cooler than Swiss blue's vivid medium, and significantly more saturated than sky blue's pale brightness. The color differences between grades is the direct result of variations in the irradiation and heat treatment process applied to the same colorless starting material.

Stone Story

Natural diamond deposits occur in a small number of geological environments, and gem-quality crystals represent only a fraction of what any given deposit yields. The scarcity of fine mined diamonds is defined by geological specificity and quality selectivity at every stage of recovery.
