A Storied Heritage

Industry Insight

A hook clasp has two components: a formed metal hook whose curve creates spring tension, and a receiver that the hook seats against. Closing produces a tactile resistance as the hook tip clears the receiver and settles into retention position, and opening requires only enough force to lift the hook tip clear of the same point.
