Cubic zirconia's density is measurably higher than diamond's. A stone of identical cut dimensions will register approximately 70% more mass on a scale. In a large CZ piece, that additional density is perceptible in the hand. It's one of the few tactile distinctions between the two materials that doesn't require optical equipment to detect.
