The material we call mother of pearl is nacre, the protective inner coating a mollusk secretes on the inside of its shell, structurally identical to pearl. Jewelers have been cutting and inlaying it for thousands of years.
Made With Purpose
Lever backs and clutch backs serve different formats. The lever back is a hinged wire closure built for drop and dangle earrings, threading through the piercing and locking without a separate back piece. The clutch back works with a straight post and is the standard for studs.
