14kt multitone gold is produced through one of two fabrication approaches: assembling separately fabricated components in different alloys, or bonding and rolling sheet metals of different alloy colors prior to forming. The method is determined by the design and the required precision of the color transitions.

Elemental Detail

If the contrast between color zones is part of why you're drawn to multitone gold, 18kt delivers it more visibly: the higher gold content produces a deeper yellow, a warmer rose, a brighter white. The richer composition makes the tonal difference between zones much more pronounced than in 14kt multitoned jewelry.

Style Notes
