Ametrine is naturally occurring quartz that displays both amethyst purple and citrine yellow in a single crystal. The Anahi mine in Bolivia is its primary source. For November birthdays, it carries the citrine color the month claims while connecting to February's amethyst in a single stone, which is a gemological distinction that no other quartz variety offers.

Industry Insight

The leverback finding was developed to give drop earrings a self-contained closure. A curved wire through the piercing locks into a hinged lever at the back, snapping shut to form a fully enclosed loop that requires no separate back piece to function.
