The deeper story

Style Notes

Citrine's suitability for cocktail ring center stones is a function of its crystal properties: large, inclusion-free quartz crystals are commercially available in citrine at sizes that would be cost-prohibitive in rarer species. Combined with strong clarity and warm color saturation, those properties make it a natural choice for large-format settings, particularly in yellow gold.

A Storied Heritage

The cocktail ring came into its own during Prohibition, when bold jewelry became one of the few available forms of public defiance for women navigating heavily regulated social spaces.

Trust & Service

Buying jewelry online asks something of the customer: a degree of trust. Ross-Simons earns it through transparent product information, honest descriptions, clear return policies, and a service reputation built over more than seventy years.
