Fabulous for casual entertaining & everyday use!

I really like the weight and feel of the pieces in the hand. While it is not true that one would mistake these for sterling or even plate (be serious, people) they are among the most handsome and rich looking stainless I've seen, and I'm picky.  No, I wouldn't use them with my best china and crystal. But for everyday use and casual company affairs, the ware is lovely.  I'm delighted with the set!

Wonderful weight and looks very expensive.

We already own three sets of this flatware. We have two sets in the city and this was a second set for our country home. The extra spoons and forks that come with the set enable us to set up a dessert station in the family room and set the dinning room table using complete settings. We no longer need to wash forks and spoons between dinner and dessert. The ease of it being dishwasher safe makes cleanup quick. The weight and shine are perfect.

Pure Class

I love the shell pattern. Have always used another desingners cuttlery and been happy for the last 50years. Saw this priceless offer at Ross Simons and ordered. Excellent quality with a gloss finish to it. . love so much that I have ordered additional items like soup spoons, fish knives & forks etc from another web site to compliment this set. This is a great product.

I purchased this for use at our church. It sets a beautiful table and always elicits positive comments. We recently hosted an ecumenical event and I had a call for another church saying how much they liked our silverware. They were impressed with the appearance as well as the weight. Wonderful set, incredible price

My fiance and I registered for RL "watch band" flatware. I ordered this set just to see what it was like and 2 days later was cleaning up my registry/making returns to macys! I LOVE this flatware! Its perfect for every day, can be dressed up with the right china, and has a nice solid weight and feel to it. I'm very pleased, much better than expected for such a reasonable price. I would recommend this flatware to anyone! Quality without the outrageous price you'd expect.

This product feels expensive

This flatware set has a good solid feel to each piece. It's hard to tell the difference between this stainless steel set and a silver plated set of the same pattern that I have.

Beautiful version of Colonial Shell

I was looking to replace missing pieces from my old Reed and Barton Colonial Shell set, a set I still loved. However, I found replacement prices exhorbitant, even used. Luckily, I saw this 18/10 Colonial Shell Reed and Barton set on line at Ross Simons, with more pieces than my original set had in the first place. I decided to buy it. After it arrived, I saw that this Colonial Shell wasn't quite the same as my old set, the pieces larger, the knife pattern notably different -- but better. I love the newer version. I gave our old Colonial Shell to our daughter, who was in need of flatware, and doesn't care if the set is short a few pieces. The new pieces are gleaming, satisfyingly heavy and plain well-designed. They are a pleasure to look at, handle and eat with.

This product has met my needs

I was looking for a heavy-weight, well made stainless steel table setting that had hollow-handled knives. This does not but the knives are substantial. The "shell" is a little rough at some points. That said, it looks and feels substantial and not cheap.

This stainless was a big disappointment.

I have Reed and Barton Sterling silver for guest use and assumed their stainless would be a good quality too.How wrong I was! It is difficult to get it to be shiny and spot free and I have to presoak it and scrape off dried food. Has a cloudy look unless you wipe it with a slightly damp cloth....high maintainence. I have to inspect each piece when I take it out of dishwasher! Sorry I got rid of my previous stainless, it was a gem by comparison!
