STERLING SILVER: Also known as "Standard Silver," sterling silver is silver alloyed with other metals to increase the hardness and durability. Generally, sterling is 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metals. Some sterling silver jewelry is plated with 14kt-18kt gold and referred to as "vermeil," or "gold over sterling."
POLISHED: A buffed-out finish used to produce a mirror-like shine.
SPRINGRING CLASP: Invented in the early 1900s this diminutive device is highly effective. It's a hollow circular metal fastener with a spring opening. This keeps the clasp closed.
HINGED: A bale with a hinge. The hinge allows the pendant to be placed on and taken off a chain easily and without sliding. Ideal for putting pendants on chains that have large clasps.
AMETHYST: A natural variety of quartz, amethyst ranges in color from deep purple to pale lavender, and even to warm greens. Amethyst has been used during meditation to provide a sense of spiritual balance. Amethyst is the birthstone of February.

Bottom Line: I would recommend this to a friend!
4.0 out of 5.0
I'll list the pros and cons:
Pros--the hinged bail is great, the amethyst is a very nice color stone. Cons--the chain is not so great, and quite short, the aquamarine color is a little "watery", and the citrine was a disappointing pale yellow. I'm going to keep it, because the bail is so good and the amethyst is pretty. However, I'll use a high quality chain I already have. I'm going to try to find another citrine in a better color from a local jeweler.
The aquamarine is not a stone I'd wear much anyway.
This product would be much improved if the chain was better quality, and if there was a choice of stones.
