    Beautiful earrings!!!

    I wanted a large gold ball hanging earring to really show up on my ears even with my long hair. These earrings do not disappoint! They are very large, but very, very classy. The only thing I don't absolutely love is the closure - it's not an automatic snap back, and I'm always afraid that it's going to bend out of shape. But all in all, they seem strong.

    something different for everyday

    I bought these earrings for my mother. She loves them. They look great on her. The only problem was the clasp did not line up. She was unable to fix them herself and had to take them to a jeweler. Otherwise something a little different for everyday than the standard gold hoops.

    Poor closure mechanism

    These are not snap style lever backs.  The back bar swings loosely, greatly increasing the opportunity for loss of an earring. They are quite lovely, though.

    needed replacement

    I ordered these earrings to replace ones that I had bought from Ross-Simons several years ago...they were my favorites and I wore them constantly. However, I lost one. When these arrived, I was very disappointed...they were flimsy, and looked cheap. The "leverbacks"(as advertised) were non-functional, the earrings would have fallen out had I tried to wear them. Even as eurowires, they were not enough to even hold the earrings in place when worn. And to top it off, the balls arrived with dents in them. I returned them, and gave Ross-Simons a second chance to send a replacement, though had I received the same product again, even in perfect condition, I would have returned them. The gold, even if it is 18kt is just flimsy...no substance at all. When the replacements arrived, they were different ball earrings, with real leverbacks that worked. The earrings were still a little on the light and somewhat flimsy side. I will not be able to wear them like my previous set, as they will probably dent with continuous wear, but they are somewhat better. I understand that the price of gold is astronomical, but if you cannot offer a quality product, then don't substitute something that looks and feels cheap.
