YELLOW GOLD: Gold is a precious metal with a natural yellow color. It is quite soft and often alloyed with other metals to increase its strength. The purity of the metal is indicated by a unit called a "karat," with 24kt having the highest percentage of natural gold.
POLISHED: A buffed-out finish used to produce a mirror-like shine.
CLIP/POST: An earring with a post insert and a clip mechanism to hold it in place. The post can be removed by a jeweler to convert the earrings to clip-on.
TOURMALINE: the "gemstone of the rainbow" comes in a dizzying array of colors and is usually created from more than a dozen elements, making it perfect for jewelry. The most popular tourmaline is deep pink, and a true favorite is watermelon... a gem of green and pink together.

The picture in the ad is far more colorful than the product.
I don't understand how the photographer was able to create such a colorful image when the actual product is no where near as vivid. I was ready to return them as soon as they arrived, but my wife chose to wait a couple of weeks before sending them back.
