Fierce and fiery, these crimson drop earrings will give you a dynamic look. 9x7mm oval simulated rubies glisten in halos of .25 ct. t.w. round brilliant-cut CZs. Leverback, sterling silver earrings. CZ weights are diamond equivalents.
STERLING SILVER: Also known as "Standard Silver," sterling silver is silver alloyed with other metals to increase the hardness and durability. Generally, sterling is 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metals. Some sterling silver jewelry is plated with 14kt-18kt gold and referred to as "vermeil," or "gold over sterling."
POLISHED: A buffed-out finish used to produce a mirror-like shine.
LEVER: An earring backing with a hook-shaped insert and a hinged leverback to hold it in place.
Stones per Earring:
RUBY: A bold fiery stone, the ruby is a symbol of wealth, vitality and love. When cut and polished, the ruby's high luster is as dazzling as a diamond's. Ruby jewelry makes the perfect gift for loved ones and is the birthstone for July.
SIMULATED RUBY: A simulated ruby is an artificial stone made to imitate real rubies. Sometimes known as "faux ruby," it does not actually hold any of the physical properties of ruby, as it could be made from acrylic, plastic, glass or CZ. Simulated ruby is very affordable and can create the same sultry look for less.

I love these earrings, sturdy but delicate looking, in sterling. I was afraid they'd be too pink to use as "red," but they're perfect. They can be dressy but I've also worn them with jeans, since they're not huge or flashy.
