    Purple quartz looks like an African amethyst

    I was pleased to find that the faceted purple quartz was a beautiful shade of purple and looks just like an African amethyst. It is clear and translucent. The ribbed stainless steel expansion band turned out to be much more comfortable than expected. It is very wide all around, so best to go up a size (I got a size 9). Because it is adjustible, it fits on several different size fingers (from 9 down to 7). If you like big and bold rings, this is a very striking statement ring.
