Each kid loves this.

My 11 month old son loves pulling out the letters and my 3 year old daughter loves putting them back in. We have one stool for each child and my eldest loves taking it from room to room to help out in the kitchen or to use it in the bathroom to brush her teeth. It teaches kids how to spell their name as well as solving a 'puzzle.' The construction is top notch. I highly reccommend this product.

Great reading stool

A great product! I have ordered several over the years and have been well satisfied. However, names that begin with an O,C or D do not look as good as other beginning letter names because there is an empty whole in the middle of those letters!

A baby gift that lasts well into childhood.

From the first time we gave the puzzle stool as a gift, we've gotten only positive feedback. It helps a child learn his or her name, and serves a functional purpose as well. Also, they have always arrived in great condition. Recently , close family friends had their third child. When we brought out the gift wrapped package, it was clearly the puzzle stool. The mom not only thanked us, but stated they were hoping for it, or they would have had to buy one to match those we gave their first two children!

Wonderful gift that is treasured for years

We have given this stool as gifts to friends and relatives babies and they have used it and learned to spell their names when they are old enough. I had given this stool to my neighbor's first baby (a girl) in the pastel colors. When they had a second baby (a boy), what to give them as a baby gift was a no brainer...a stool in primary colors. Big hit baby gift

I bought the pastel version as a baby gift for a new little girl, and it was a huge hit. Stool is very sturdy and well-made, and parents were thrilled because their child has an unusual name, so they never find baby's name in "ready made" personalized items. Even the adults in the group wanted one after they saw this one! :} Everybody wanted to know where I got it. It was easy to assemble; wooden legs screwed into hardware on the bottom and tightened down well. I expect this stool to last until this little girl has little ones of her own. I'm very happy with this purchase, especially because it qualified for the 25% discount. This will be my standing baby gift in the future!

My daughter is only 15-mos old, but she's already learning to place the letters of her name. My only suggestion is to coat the back and sides of the letters too with the veneer, to prevent water-stains (when she spills milk or water on it).
