Golden simplicity...

I LOVE this necklace! It is BIG and BOLD and simple....a fabulous find! (The only drawback would be the chain it comes with, very, very thin...delicate). This chain does not even show up against my skin (does this mean my skin is golden?). I use it with a more substantial chain, which I also purchased from Ross-Simons.

Terrifically simple!

We men can wear women's jewelry if the design is memorably simple. This meets that standard to the last degree; indeed, if it were any simpler it wouldn't exist. I bought the 18" chain and it sits right in the hollow of my throat. I never take it off, even to shower or sleep. It's a beloved and beautiful companion.

Good and not so good

The sphere was very nice. Good quality and appearance. However, the chain was so flimsy that I had to replace it with a heavier one for safety reasons. It is because of the quality of the chain that I gave this item only 4 stars. Would not recommend this item unless you are prepared to spend more money on a new chain.

hair of a chain

This looks quite nice on the page - but if you are hard on chains, beware: the chain on this is so fine it is invisible, and it is hard to see the clasp, which does not work all that well either. The sphere has a very large hole at either end, (so you can use your own chain), but this presents the problem of looking a bit cheap, as though the makers wanted to skimp on the gold. All in all it looks nice, but is not worth the money.

The gold sphere necklace

This is a beautiful necklace, but I am afraid to wear it as the chain is so thin it will break at the slightest movement. I wanted this specific pendant, but buying on line doesnt show you the thickness of the chain. I did my research because I had bought another chain this thickness and it broke the first time I wore it. I need to return this necklace

Nice bead, really thin chain

I got this as a Christmas gift with slightly smaller gold bead earrings. It is a nice set for work. My concern is that the chain for the necklace is so fine it looks like it could break very easily.

hollow ball with poorly cut opening for chain

this necklace was not what i expected based on the picture shown. i did not expect the sphere to be hollow and the side openings where the chain goes through were cut roughly as well as to large for the very thin chain. i ended up going to another jewlery store to purchase a smaller more finished ball to put on the original chain.
