Big, bold, and beautiful!!!

It's gloriously large but not heavy. The color is as amazing as it is pictured. The wider band helps keep the ring in place so it doesn't roll around my finger. This is a great ring at a great price. I highly recommend this baby to anyone who dares to show some color!

Stunning

This is a beautiful ring!  Stone color, cut and clarity are exquisite.  The band style is very unique with a thick striated texture around the band.  The only suggestion is, since it is a very wide band, to make sure you bump up at least one size or two.  Very important to do a ring sizer for about a 1/2 inch wide band.

SPECTACULAR DESIGN

This ring is so big/bold it barely fits into its pouch. The color is a very deep dark purple and the mounting gives the illusion of it floating in air on your hand. I am a purple freak and this is right down my alley. I liked it so much I ordered a second one in case something happens to my first one! You will not be disappointed with this purchase.

This is an eyecatcher.

I like large stones. I needed one in deep purple to match another piece of jewelry. This stone is in an ultra-modern setting that makes a statement. It is not, however, overpowering on the finger. It is comfortable and does not twist around. I like it!!

Bold Contemporary Amethyst Ring

The ring is beautiful and eye- catching. Despite the big stone it feels very comfortable on the finger. Only problem is that being that big you can't do too much with that hand while you are wearing the ring but it is worth it.

Great Contemporary look!

I really like the look of this ring! It's modern and bold. The gem was dark purple, but not DEEP purple and it seems small for a size 9--those are the only reasons I did not give it a 5. If you find a 9 and exact fit, this may feel small but definitely wearable. The silver is substantial as well.

Pretty but sharp edged

The stone is absolutely beatiful and I love the way it sits in the setting. One of the edges is a bit sharp though and I have to be conscious on which way I put this ring on.

the stone lights up!

The setting for this stone holds it out there and light pours through this huge beautiful deep purple Amethyst. I wasn't sure if the big and tall setting would be comfortable but once on, I didn't notice anything but smooth comfort. I love to just hold out my hand and gaze into this dreamy ring.

This ring is very large and bold. The stone is a deep purple. I was afraid it might catch on my clothes but it doesn't. Beware, this ring runs quite small. I had to go up a full ring size.

Disappointed in product

I love the ring style, however I was very disappointed in the color of the stone. I expected a VERY deep purple color as shown on all of the pictures advertised. When I received the ring and opened the package I was immediately disappointed in the color.

The culet of the stone was flat, and the mounting, while futuristic as described, makes what could be a real stunner appear cheaper than it could have looked.

The Amethyst stone is beautiful but,

the sterling silver ring itself was very cheap. Sooooo thin and does not even compliment the gigiantic stone on top of it. I was very disapointed that there wasnt top quality in the ring and I am very ambivalent to order jewelry from Ross Simons. : (
