To give it a white color and increase its strength, gold is alloyed with white metals, such as silver and/or palladium, and often plated with rhodium. The purity of the metal is indicated by a unit called a "karat," with 24kt having the highest percentage of natural gold.
TEXTURED: A unique and varying finish with a tactile surface applied through various techniques, both by hand and with machinery.

LOBSTER CLASP: named after the pinching style of the hook, this clasp is often shaped like a lobster's claw. Use your finger to work the lever to open the clasp.
Several years ago I purchased (from R-S) a beautiful large, white gold, textured filigree, diamond cross for my mother, who recently passed away. Â She wore it constantly in her last years, and I have now inherited that cross. Â I was looking for a complimentary larger link, textured chain for it. This chain has just the right proportions, with a perfectly textured finish, to pair beautifully with the cross, so much so that it looks like it was made for that cross. Â I'm very pleased to have found this chain. Â I will wear these proudly, in honor of my precious Mom.
