Heirs to the thousand-year-old tradition of porcelain manufacture, the three Lladro brothers turned this decorative art form into a phenomenal business. It all began in 1953 in a small Moorish kiln in the courtyard of their family home. Today over two thousand people work in Lladro's Spanish headquarters near Valencia (close to their original location), and their world-renowned creations are exported to more than 100 countries and almost 4,000 retailers across the globe.

Each handcrafted Lladro porcelain sculpture is famed for its artistic style that is both highly original and authentic. Each one explores the human message with astonishing warmth and sensitivity. Subtle three-dimensional detailing such as folds of fabric, facial expressions and decorative floral bouquets are incredibly realistic and form the heart of the Lladro style.
